Speech Title: Social Innovation Safari
Joeri is going to present a highly successful new format developed by Kennisland called the Social Innovation Safari. It is a pressure-cooker-inspiration experience where selected participants spend five days in and around social innovation issues. The results of the first Safari surpassed their wildest expectations.
Bio
Joeri van den Steenhoven (1971) is chairman and co-founder of Kennisland | Knowledgeland (KL), an independent thinktank that aims to make Dutch society smarter. KL designs and delivers interventions for social innovation. These are interventions that contribute to a stronger knowledge society. Not just through research, publications and debate, but with projects, programmes and real change. Some of the projects of KL are: Digital Pioneers, Kafkabrigade, Creative Challenge Call, Creative Commons NL and many more. Since 1999 Joeri manages the team, develops new projects and represents KL and its ideas. He has been adviser to governments and organizations, is a member of numerous committees and boards and author of various publications. Joeri is currently leading in projects across the fields of education, government and creative economy. Next to KL he is a non-executive board member of the Lisbon Council in Brussels.
